Video: Can a debt collector call me at work?

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, also know as the FDCPA, a debt collector may contact a debtor either at home or at the debtor's office, place of employment. If the debtor wishes not to be contacted at work, then the debtor may request this from the debt collector either verbally or in writing. Then, the debt collector must seize calling that phone number immediately and must never call it again. However, if the debtor wants to seize the debt collector from calling the debtor at home, then that request needs to be in writing.
